No it wasn't u nub. One time it was a weapon spell version of Splinter Shot - hit AoE with next attack. Long recharge. Not worth using... Actually, I never noticed that skill till I got to Kurzick Lands, where Splinter is used by rit monsters.
Dervish : [Eternal Aura] avatar's are what make Dervisches special. Keeping them up is very nice utility. You can play without avatar's, but you're bound to use them often too. The downtime is not a killer. (the skill didn't exist at the start of nightfall afterall) but when using an Avatar I almost allways have eternal aura too. But eternal aura does work at very low rep point rank. It won't give you as much damage, but the utility stays the same. Needs low rank.
I can't believe it took this long for somebody to say this. Dervishes do NOT need their Sunspear rank to be high whatsoever. The entire point of Eternal Aura is the recharge of skills and therefore elite forms, not the damage done on the PBAoE. Nice, but certainly not the point. Therefore (imo) Dervishes and Rangers have the least need to grind Sunspear due to the way said Sunspear skills work -(edit: if they want to use their Sunspear skill).
On topic: no class needs their PvE skills; I would say Assassin and Paragon would be the most in need of some help if they were removed. If you like playing monk in PvP, try it out in PvE.

Quote:
Well, from 50 damage.
Bad wording I must admit.
"Well, from when it got buffed to multiple hits and 50 damage at 14"
